To our clients this must have seemed like magic. When they asked us what to expect in attendance for a debate format on a budget. Our answer was how big would you like this to be? With the initial intention of only about 500 or so teens in a lecture hall, our conditional brand strategy quickly opened the imagination of everyone in the room and selling out the University of Central Florida’s Arena became the dream and our objective.
We could tell everyone on the outside was a little overwhelmed by the idea, but to us it’s become a scientific method. People are conditioned to respond in very specific manners. Programmed over years of experiences and sensory input. Once we found the proper stimulus it was only a matter of time until the our conditional brand strategy caught like wild fire. What we ended up with was a dream come true and a packed UCF Arena for what would be, to date, the largest non-entertainment driven event the campus has ever held in it’s arena.
“6000 Expected at a University of Central Florida Arena Debate”
ORLANDO, Florida
More than 6000 people are registered to attend this evening`s debate between Christopher Hitchens, atheist author, and Dinesh D`Souza, religious apologist. The event, starting at 7pm this evening, will be the largest debate either proponent has ever taken part in. The UCF Arena is already sold out, and overflow seating is being added to accommodate additional walk-in traffic.
Hitchens is an avid proponent of atheism, and has written several controversial books, including “God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything” and “The Missionary Position: Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice”. His keen sense of humor and dry wit have made him a popular speaker and columnist.
D`Souza is a religious supporter and defends the conservative ideology he associates with the major world religions, particularly Christianity. He has written several books, including “What`s So Great About Christianity” and “The Enemy at Home: The Cultural Left and It`s Responsibility for 9/11.” His speaking style is clean, optimistic, and slightly visionary.
Around UCF, the discussion has already begun on local networking sites and blogs, and the event has gained national recognition, as people from across the country contribute their thoughts and opinions. Have your own ideas? Join the conversation at www.chooseyourafterlife.com.
